Death of a TV Exec
Not to be the bearer of bad news -- and maybe some of you more media-hungry types may have heard -- but a guy who was at my H.S. when I was there, who turned out to be a highly successful TV Exec., passed away last week very unexpectedly. Seems he was vacationing in France on long bike tour. It was in our local paper, and about every other popular medium in the country:
Jim Paratore Death
He was a senior ('71) when I was a freshman, but there were only about 200 kids in the whole school; so we did know pretty much everybody, every year. We always knew him to be a great athelete and basketball player; but he went to Loyola (N.O.) and majored in some communications program and I guess the rest was history. May his soul rest in peace.
