Universal Pictures will be releasing an action pack movie called Death Race on August 22, 2008. Death Race is about an Ex-con Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) is forced by the warden of a notorious prison to compete in the post-industrial world's most popular sport: a car race in which inmates must brutalize and kill one another on the road to victory.

This movie features a few classic cars such as the 1972 Boattail Riviera and the1978 Trans-Am, all bulked up with weapons and ready to battle and race with other vehicles.

When I saw Transporter, I thought Statham was going to go places. If this is the kind of crap he continues to do... it will be straight into the pooper.
