Damn dog

Well I've got some cleanup to do today. Let the bird-dog out last night and while i was talking on the phone I heard a commotion outside. Apparently she got this little stinker in one bite and then decided to retreat when she found out what skunks are most well known for. I found paw prints on TOP of the barcecue. Already got a bath and will need more plus I've got to scour this area behind the house ugh.

Yuck. I don't know what's worse, cleaning up after that or pulling porcupine quills
out of their face after tangling with one of those buggers.

Be aware that many times those critters carry rabies. Make sure your dog's vaccination is up to date.

She's up to date on everything and well exercised. Peroxide baking soda and dish soap works like a charm and fast too. Even got the stink out of her harness. Maybe she can sleep inside the house soon

I had a hunting dog(half Chesapeake half Airedale) get a skunk trapped in a grain bin, fight went on for a half an hour or so before stinky met his demise. On a hot day that silo still stinks and that was 10 years ago.Bull headed dog didn't do much better, used almost a gallon of tomato juice and 12 oz of dish soap before he was allowed to be out side near the front door. He was one tough dog though.... Tedd

My Wife's dog that came with the Marriage was a champion skunk killer. First one got him the next 2 he got before he got sprayed. But you could still smell it faintly every time he got wet even 5 years later.

Well at least she didn't bring it inside while it was still kicking. That would have been nasty.

She sure does look pretty confidently happy for a girl that made a mistake. If she could talk to you she would say, "I did good! I know that you are proud of me for keeping you safe!"
