Concours d'Elegance Hilton Head

This past weekend my wife and I made a long weekend trip to Savannah, GA for her birthday. After I had planned the trip and made all the reservations, I realized the Concours d'Elegance at Hilton Head was on Sunday which happened to be my wifes birthday. Being the outstanding wife of 49 years that she is, she agreed to attend. I have never been to an event like this. To call it a car show would be and understatement. There was lots and lots of money here. I had read about the restoration of Mrs. Chryslers hand built 1937 Chrysler Imperial limo. It was there. It is on the cover of Hemmings this month. I only saw on Oldsmobile and it was a 1962 Starfire convertible. There was a 1905 REO there. I left my 35MM camera home and had to take these with my tablet which turned out pretty good. I have included a link to my photobucket. I hope you enjoy this pictures. If you want any of them, help yourselves.

The Concours is by invitation only. Compared to these cars, mine would look like a beater. That yellow 58 Buick Limited convertible is the best 50's car I have ever seen. The guy that owns it and four others he had there including the only 59 Ponitac El Caimno ever built were incredible. This event was in Hilton Head, South Carolina. My wife and I were in Savannah for the weekend and drove up which is only about 30 miles. I have never seen such quality. Lots and lots of money there.
