I think I have the fuel just about right, maybe a little lean?

I'd say a little lean, but if it runs well and doesn't ping, it's probably fine.
Recheck it after a few more miles.

I ran a self tapping screw it to it . that should take care of the problem if there is one. It,s been a while now I've had no problem.
