car parts ordered - wine delivered!

A few may know my Oldsmobile Omega rebuild topic and know, that I'm located in Austria, Europe.

I need to share a funny story and at least promote the Kamen winery in Sonoma, California a bit!

10 days ago I came home from work and found my wife being angry with me! The parcel service dropped a big and heavy parcel at our door. My wife of course was in the impression I again ordered parts for my Oldsmobile Omega without mention there will be maybe something been delivered.

Was there still something open? I have to check all my orders on ebay and with others, but somehow I was sure all was delivered.

So we opened the parcel and found 12 bottles of 2018 Carbernet Sauvignon from Kamen Wines, Sonoma, California!

Are you serious? I do love wine and we buy regular more than 1 bottle for some storage, but this is for sure not my normal price range.

The tracking sticker clearly state my name and my address. So I reached out to Kamen winery, if they can help me to find out why I have this 12 bottles in my cellar now!

In between I was checking my orders - oh, there is still the tire pressure door sticker on the way from ebay. According to the tracking it was delivered to the international shipping center in Erlanger, KY.

Today the Kamen Wine GM contacted me: for what ever reason the package was wrongly labeled in Erlanger, KY and so their wines found the way to me in Austria.

And another poor guy now has my 73 GM X-Body tire pressure door sticker

Kamen wine does have now a new fan, as I'm allowed to keep the 12 bottles in my cellar. We will open a first one at the Easter weekend for dinner!

I hope this is allowed to post here. Maybe someone will enjoy their wines as well and so supporting them.

I looked it up and wow, that is not an inexpensive wine. I saw it priced from 90-120 USD per bottle. And you got 12 bottles in exchange for a tire pressure decal. Good trade, for sure!

I like it. Now you have an excuse to experiment and see if ice cream will float in wine!
