Asia Motors in Illinois

Hi everyone.

Any of you Chicago area people, or anyone, know anything about Asia Motors in Melrose Park? I seem to be needing a Caprice PPV and this place is all about police vehicles. They have a nice website and plenty of good comments, but money can buy all that. Wondered if anyone ever bought anything from them and what they thought of the place.

Thanks everyone.

No one? Well, okay. Just thought I'd ask. Odd that Chicago is the closest I can find one of these.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

I used to live 5 minutes away, now maybe 30.

Asia, and Chicago Motors and some others are all owned and run by the same people. They have a mixed reputation, because a lot of the stuff is just slathered with 15 gallons of Armor All and listed at retail.

That said, they DO have some very nice cars sometimes. They're not total slime *****, it's just a high volume used fleet vehicle place. Some stuff is just, well, junk. If you found something you're seriously interested in, I'd be happy to swing by and take a look for you sometime.

Thanks George. I talked with a guy at Asia Motors and he seemed pretty nice, not the typical used car salesman. He sent me some additional pictures but by the time I could get a trip together to get up there the car was sold. Chicago Motors has a couple Caprices that are over 20 and I'm not paying that.

The search continues, I'll keep looking at their websites in the meantime...

They are nice people. I almost bought a Crown Vic there before I found the '11 I used to own. It was as described, and extremely clean, just a little bit higher priced than I was comfortable with.

Happy hunting!
