Any Oregon residents with Scottish connections?. Update.
I learned on the BBC news today that the city of Boring, Oregon and the village of Dull in Scotland want to form friendly links with each other.
It seems they share similar weather, mostly cold and wet with snowy winters.
Apparently a resident of Dull visited Boring on a vacation and put up the idea.
Makes a change from the endless doom and gloom that seems to dominate the news. It made me smile, I thought I'd share this one with you.
The town of F***ing in Austria has a problem with British tourists stealing signs, anyone visited somewhere with a name that brought a smile to your face?.
Roger.

Haha - nice!
However, Hell should be a town here in TX!
Rumor has it that the town of Uncertain, TX has not made up it's mind to join ties with Boring, Oregon, Dull in Scotland, or Bland in Australia...

I grew up near "Intercourse, PA". Their only claim to fame is that they once refused Penthouse magazine's request to have it's rag shipped from there so that they could use the postmark.

The Mayor of Bland, Australia, has paid a visit to Dull in Scotland to formally form a friendly link, I understand a similar visit to Boring, Oregon is also on his agenda.

As they take their trip through Boring Oregon they can Zigzag with Brother/Sisters and take a Powder near Clackamas. They say there is a Riddle by Umpqua of a Remote place called Nowhere, tried to ask Milton-Freewater from Idiotville for directions, but that idea went down the Drain and they wound up in ******* Corner.

I walked trough Hell on Grand Cayman Island at noon. It was about 110 in the shade.
Been to Snowflake, AZ last September. Any snow found there has a slim chance of survival. Actually the town was founded by Mr. Snow & Mr. Flake. Not making this up. Had lunch in a place in town and heard the story there. Good Chow as well. Have a scone if you get there. Sorry don't remember the name.
Wasn't there a Highway 666 in Texas?

Not any more. I got lost in New Mexico during a road trip using an old map because of this:
U.S. Route 491 (US 491) is a north–south U.S. Highway serving the Four Corners region of the United States. One of the newest designations in the U.S. Highway System, it was created in 2003 as a renumbering of U.S. Route 666 (US 666). With the 666 designation, this road was nicknamed the "Devil's Highway" because of the significance of number 666 to many Christian denominations, which is believed by some that 666 is the Number of the Beast.[1] This Satanic connotation, combined with a high fatality rate along the New Mexico portion, convinced some people the highway was cursed.

Ask him if he knows what the name of the luncheonette in town is. As you walk in the front door there are tables to the left and rear and the counter area on the right reminded me of an old saloon.
Also, there is a great Mexican restaurant in Show Low that is family owned. I think it's in the same strip mall as the Tractor Supply (might be a different name, was a little to high end for TSC). If he goes in there have him tell Betty Mike from NY not Boston says hello.
Also let him know if he wasn't a big fan of the explosions from the police range last September it wasn't me.
And finally here's another name I don't understand Newport News, VA
