Any Dave Barry fans?
I enjoy Dave Barry’s twisted sense of humor. I enjoyed his past year/decade in review books. If any year needs a comical review, this is definitely the one. Any other alert readers (ha!) out in readerland (ha-ha!) hoping for a 2020 Dave Barry year in review?

I've been a fan of Dave Barry for years and years. I forward his year in review to dozens of friends. For 2020, he won't have to say "I'm not making this up" All he has to do is just report it!

Good, the first reply is someone who will get my “alert reader, and those in readerland “ reference.
I hope this comment doesn’t get me in trouble with the Politics Police, but I’m pretty sure today’s humor writers will look back fondly on our current elected officials. The jokes just write themselves. Sooner or later they will have to go back to working for a living.

Matt, that is a great comment!! I've been saying for months that 100 years from now, history will look back on 2020 and roar laughing. I have my emergency back up dog ready to defend me!

The last Dave Barry book I read is Life lessons from Lucy. I don’t know if he has done any others.

There are three crazy newspaper guys turned author from FL. Dave Barry is humor and such. Carl Hiassen is satrical and semi-crazy Floridian novels, and Tim Dorsey is full on nuts Floridian novels. Hiassen is one of about my top five authors.

This was brought to my attention by Alert Reader Matt69olds. Dave Barry did a Year in Review last year. I have not read it yet, I just wanted to share this.

And here it is, just in time (or not), Dave Barry's 2020 Year in Review, from the Washington Post:

Dave Barry worked very early on for my hometown newspaper here in PA. His wry sense of humor (unattributed) was evident in one of the recurring columns that kept up with the behind-the-scenes- events in local politics. His wit has only gotten sharper over time..

“Daily Local News” a.k.a. daily lack of news. Much has changed in West Chester since dave took his first job at the daily local in 1971. He was the best part of that paper back then, great memories of driving by the DLN building when we went out to Highland orchards
