After somewhat careful consideration...

I have decided I have had this hoard long enough.
I could spend MONTHS going through all this.
I want to get back on my 69 after watching
the success of some of the boys and their builds.

As you can see, I have a lot of Olds stuff.
I'm a little pissed at myself for letting it
get away from me. I don't even have enough
room in the shop to consider starting up the build
again at the moment.
If there is anything you may need for your car
or project, please send me a PM and I will see
what I can do. Thanks for your time and wish me luck,
I am certainly going to need it.

Stuff up in the attic, out in the sheds...
There are a set of 69 rust free door shells,
I believe 1 70 door with elect. window in it
and the other 3 motors and harness....unbelievable.

At least you only have one general type of car. I have Olds crap, 73-80 chevy truck crap, and 67 Chevelle crap stored everwhere. I was just told about a 54 Olds parts car I can have for next to nothing but don't have anywhere to put the parts.

I too struggle with wanting to save everything that I might remotely, possibly, maybe, just might need. I hate being in the position of selling a hard to find part then six months later discovering I needed it after all

I have been trying to thin things out in my garage too. I have 4 bays and at one point last year my wife could not park her car inside. My biggest problem is inventory control. I know I should have something and will spend 1/2 the day looking for it and never find it. End up buying another one and voila the mystery missing part reappears.

Seems like that many of you have parts to sell. I am looking for the following for my 67 442 Hardtop:

1. Driver side upper front pillar trim. An example is attached.
2. Glove box light lens.
3. Jacket hold down bracket, clamp and base.
4. Two of the heavy sheet metal screws that fasten the arm rest to the door. Believe it or not, I am having trouble finding these.
5. Six of the hood to fender rubber bumpers, if they can be removed w/o damaging them. I found repops, but they do not have the correct profile.

Jeff, I have the lens and pillar trim, I am in the middle of trying to move my inventory from 3 garages to a 2000 sq ft building I have rented, putting up large and small shelving so I can be more organized and get parts and pics to people when they ask, I will let you know as soon as possible

The solution to your problem is so obvious....................expand the shop! You don't have too much stuff, just too little space.

Tried that too Henry.
Built a 8X10X8 high shed behind my shop.
Took about 10 minutes to fill it.

I always considers myself a hoarder. After looking at all of your pictures I have decided that you, Sir,[tru-blue 442] are a professional. I am strictly an amateur hoarder. Please carry on!

It wasn't for the trying, it was the amount
of room in the yard. Anymore and my wife
might have shot me.

Good deal olds3442. Just PM me or send me an email when you get set up and locate the parts.

Thanks,

You are definitely not alone in this. My Dad has a 4200 square foot shop(70x60) that you can barely walk through(yes some of it is mine) and I can't even get a camera in to take pics in some areas of my shop and garage. I have 30+ engines, blocks, and don't know how many heads in my house garage alone as well as at least a dozen or more trannys, engine hoist, tire rack, wheels, and still store my crew cab duramax, my ride mower, compressor, toolbox, etc. etc. Don't get me started on my 30x40 shop and other areas as well as parts cars in the yard. Man I really need to get rid of a lot of stuff, but , as my Dad always says: "I might need it someday!"

Wow Orange!
And Steve, (Drop top olds),
thinks I am a professional hoarder, ha ha.
I'm just a beginner compared to you.
4200 sq. ft? Daauummnn... My shop is
only 24X30 with a loft.
Of course I have 3 sheds and the 'behind the shop'
area, you know, for the good stuff that can sit outside.

In my defense, I would not have anywhere near this many parts and parts cars/trucks but a local salvage sold out to a crusher last year. So, of course, I HAD to save as many cars, trucks, wheels and parts as I could, felt like it was of the utmost importance at the time, now I am not so sure!? There are about 10-12 vehicles and countless number of wheels(100+), caps, and rings I would not have owned if the salvage had not sold. I have 21 cars/trucks in my yard right now and I have already sold, and parted and crushed some and have some for sale right now. I am working on thinning out but these 100 degree temps are really slowing me down and the wasps and mosquitoes are just crazy around here right now. If it does ever cool off, I will have to get busy.

Fly in. I'll pick you up. Let's burn a steak.
Have a good nights rest. I'll get the boys
over to load the U-haul for the next morning.

Oh man do I know the feeling. Building a shed isn't even an option since it would take a warehouse to hold everyting I have hoarded over the years.

By the way, you wouldn't happen to have the passenger side, rear wheel well trim. This is the last piece of trim I need for my 1969 Cutlass S

Thanks

I saw your thread on the Olds clubhouse.
This would be a standing offer for you as well
as anyone else truly interested. Some good
stuff for your new shelves...

Tom, I think I sold all the extras I had
for these. But I may have 1 left. I will
check and see.

I thought as much. I did find a nice 68 unit.
For the driver side.
