4x4's, ghost towns, mines etc...

ISHSH2 got me thinking about Jeeps. I had written a nice story to go with this but in a bone head move I lost it !! I'm to lazy to re-write it !! so if your interested givet this a watch.
Arizona has a rich mining history gold, silver, cinnabar (for mercury) and even Fluorite(for florescent lights ) a lot of these mines had towns around them, there still out there if you have a 4x4 or a helicopter ( most people don't have access to helicopters ) several years ago I put together a video of some of the 4x4 & ghost town trips I took, first with my Mitsubishi Montero sport ( what a little billy goat) then with
my 1990 Cherokee (box Cherokee) here's a few pics and a link to the video I made. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x14hg5u be sure to un - mute sound the music is appropriate for ghost towns !!

That's neat, Solly. Thanks for sharing. My brother is big into ghost and mining towns here in Colorado.

The Old Man and I have made several truck trips in the Nevada North West areas, always a fun and educational trip. I found a book named the Ghost Towns of Nevada written in the 60s, I believe, and I was illustrated well but best of all it had great mileage points and directions. Often we would pinpoint where a town was, but nothing was visible there, get out and walk around the sage and low and behold there are dugouts where buildings once were. We spent a week just poking around old home sites and mines in the Nevada out back, great history and memories.... Tedd
