St Ignance car show pics

This is the first time attending this show. It’s been on my bucket list for years. Some of the Olds cars I have seen today.

I didn’t realize I fat fingered the Ford (and the Plymouth Fury!)?with the Olds pictures until you mentioned it.

I think this will become a annual thing for us. Lots to see and do in the Upper Peninsula, and the car show features a little of everything.

We have walked up and down the streets several times, I don’t recall seeing a single LS swapped Camaro. Though I would be willing to be my last dollar there is at least one here!!!

Nothing wrong with a bit of variety. It's nice to see more than 1 or 2 Oldsmobiles at a show.

I need to go to this show one of these days. It is usually the same the weekend as Homecoming, so I have never been to it.

Looks like a great show!

We went to mackinaw island probably 10 years ago. I have been all over the UP on snowmobiles, but most of my time here has been on the east side. Next year I’d like to sightsee on the west side, Houghton Lake, Copper Harbor, etc

My Mom was born in the Soo, so we spent many a vacation traveling the UP, visiting relatives, including the north western part. Such a fun place to visit, especially for a city boy. I was born and raised aroud Detroit.

Great pics. For those that don't know, MI and the surrounding states had a crap-tasitic weekend for weather. The folks that took their cars to that show likely had to drive thru plenty of rain (lots of it HARD RAIN) to attend. Marquette, Copper Harbor, and Isle Royale are on my list of "someday!" to visit. The farthest west I've ever been was Munising. Lots of loooooonng drives between towns up there. Whitefish Point and the Pictured Rocks shoreline are quite the sights.

Since you are heavily involved in the models. Have you ever run into a 66 Olds Convertible kit. Would love to have one.

Thanks
Wayne

I just got back from our local show here in southern Maryland. We had 785 cars this year! There were 3, count 'em 3 Oldsmobiles. There would have been 4 but I'm still waiting on my engine rebuild to get finished.

I guess I could say 7, if I counted the Buicks.

I just looked thru the itinerary for the St Ignance show this year, Linda Vaughn is a guest., looking forward to meeting her.

All you guys with Hurst Olds need to attend and have her sign your glovebox door!!

Actually, I did Google her and found her biography. How someone endowed with that beauty bypassed me is unknown. I would imagine playing with too many cars. However, that cannot be considered an excuse by no means.

Linda Vaughn, “Jungle” Pam Hardy, Carol “Bunny” Burkett”, Shirley “Cha Cha” Muldowney, the owner of Dyers superchargers (his wife/girlfriend was featured on a tee shirt years ago, her name has slipped my mind) lots of hot women from the automotive past.
