MCACN in Chicago Pics

Went to the show in Chi-town today. Blew me away! Here's some pics.

Remember these?

Winged Warriors Section Looked like a flock of birds landed!

Cluster of T/A converts!

My danged autofocus was letting me down AND I didn't have my cheaters. Hence some out of focus pics. The beat up W-31 was for sale. 18k I think. The W-31 post car was very, very nice. Spoke with the owner. He was from the south, like Louisiana or something. Had driven a LONG way to be there. It is still on for Sunday 9-5pm. If you can go, do it.

Nice pics and good looking cars, autofocus can be a pain in some lighting situations, just won't focus on what you want (glare?) I frequently will go to manual in some shots rather than fight with the camera.

Once I realized the autofocus wasn't working correctly I went manual. Have fun at the show. Once again, just like last year, it was unbeleivable!

Thanks for the pictures! I have to get there one of these years.

That 72 W30 post car is sooooo cool! Super rare and a bench seat 4 speed to boot.......Saw it up close at the Pavillions car cruise in Scottsdale a few weeks ago.

Wow.

Yes, that's his collection. He sold the Oldses last year, and one of them (the former Stohlman car) was at MCACN this year.

I have only seen the yellow houndstooth interior once, and just recently, but black with it? wow! Thanks for posting.

Excellent pics Diego. Thanks for posting. Were you helping somebody move in? The fact you got to walk around and take pics with no one there must have been nice! Great show as always! I look forward to this every year. TL turned me onto it and I haven't missed since.

I just talked with the promoter who gave me a pass that let me wander when no one was around. It required me to wake up at 5:15 but it was so worth it. Alas, I was not able to take pics of everything people-free because time moves fast, and people were lining up at 8 to enter!

Anyway, here's Part III:

I liked the group shots. And the H/O certainly didn't hurt. That Panther Pink Cuda is out there.

How many of those T/A verts were real T/As? I think there was only 7 produced and to have 6 in 1 place

8 were produced, 7 were scheduled to show up, 6 were present, and all were the real deal.
