which bolt?

Hi everyone!
Can anybody tell me the size and grade of the bolt for the lower end of the rear shock absorber....it's a 98 coupe from 1973...?

I don't know the exact size, but it is a special bolt that comes attached to the shock absorber when you buy it.
They generally don't ever come off because they're force-fit into the rubber bushing.

If I recall, they used to have replacements on the HELP! rack, so, since that's a Dorman line, I would check the Dorman catalogue.

Yeah, it's not really a bolt as we typically think of them:

Hi,
thank's for your quick replies. I think my shocks are actually equipped with these "bolts". The thing is, here in Germany every car has to pass a (pretty strict) technical check (TÜV) every second year, and the guy there thought these were just simple threaded rods and inadequate...but he was wrong!
