Yes definitely stock paint, the car was totally stock when I bought it.
Some parts have been repainted though.
Quite rare, 455 + 3-speed manual column shift

I have a 1970 442 with a similar color and it's called Burgandy Mist. I'll have to check the firewall tag after work to get the code. I don't know if they used the same shade from 1968 into 1970 and A-body to full sized. John
That's right, Burgundy, paint code N. I just went to TCP Global and looked at the paint chip sheet.

Dubonnet wasn't offered in '68 and was an exclusive Toronado color before that according to my book, but anythings possible. The only interior color in the burgundy/red shade is Garnet and should be trim code 15 for a Delmont convertible, trim code 2 for the black convertible top.

That's a good question. I wonder what it denotes too? I'm not sure if it means metallic paint or because it is an acrylic paint with polymers? There are polyester primers and fillers they call that now. The solid colors on the sheet don't say it so I would guess it means metallic in this case ? Mine is 1971 code 24 Nordic Blue Poly and it does have a very slight metallic.

I bought this car from the US last fall, and had of course only seen the car in pictures. I was 100% sure it was a solid paint, even after I got the car delivered here in Sweden. But when I washed it this spring I noticed in the direct sunlight that it actually looked metallic, but very slight.
You can compare these pics:

The paint looks very much metallic on the last pic, but IRL itīs not that obvious at all.
The reason I wanted the paintcode, other than just curiosity, is that I have to repaint the left rear fender - as you can see:
