I have a set of those that came on a project car. I agree with Bayou Olds and don't know that they help on our cars with coil springs. Either way, I'd rather have the sway bar back there than these. John
Those are ladder bars.
Good old fashioned muscle car drag racing accessory. Supposed to keep the rear wheels on the ground during those lightning-fast 6-second runs
. They also make it impossible to make a hard turn after a stop sign.
"Back in the day" I saw plenty of them on the backs of 6-cylinder Chevelles and Novas.
In fact, there was a pair on my Chevelle when I bought it, attached to the 4.56 12-bolt posi rear. The frame still has cracks where they were bolted on.
An interesting history piece.
