rebushing the frame
rebushing the frame
Can anyone here tell me how big a job it is to replace the body bushings on a 64 Cutlass Convertible? Is this something a pretty good shadetree mech can do at home with just floor jack and jack stands?
The biggest problem is getting the bolts out. The nut plates are in blind holes and if the bolt is rusted, the nut plate will break loose and start spinning. At that point your only option is to cut a hole in the floor to replace the nut plate then weld the hole shut.

Don't retighten any of them until you have them all in place.
It's not that bad! Good luck!
