Axle Offset - Fix?

The rear axle on my 68 98 (same four-link as a-body) is offset 1" to the right (clearance between fender skirt and tire is 1" less on right side). No evidence of collision damage, and new bushings were just installed and it made no difference. Is installing adjustable upper links a good way to fix this? Having it centered will provide more available clearance for wider rims and tires.

Make sure its the axle and not the body.

Good thought. I would rather move the body over half inch than anything else. Will try to get under it this weekend and see if that is possible.

You need to loosen body bolts and shift the body over to where it needs to be. Since your there, MAW see if the rubber mounts need to be replaced.

How do you go about shifting the body over? Is there adjustability in body mounts?

Loosen body bushing mount bolts and shift the body over the desired amount, its a good time to inspect/replace at this time. Its pretty easy with the car on a lift.
