Going thru the Cutlass today after getting it home. Discovered a hose coming out the passenger side of the firewall. It was resting on the exhaust manifold, so consequently the rubber was mangled and burned. It looks like a drain hose, but I am not sure.

I do have A/C. If this is a drain hose I am guess it should be longer to prevent hitting the manifold.

Any ideas?

In the picture it is the hose nearest the number 6.

I am not sure how the A/C option was installed. Were they mainly dealer installed or factory? Or both?

But if it is the drain I will have to modify it so it stays out of the way of the exhaust.
