Right Front Lower Ball Joint Won't Torque

I installed all new ball joints in my 66 442 Project a while back, and today I was adjusting the front brake shoes when I noticed that there was some play in the front wheel. I didn't notice it when I first in stalled them. The car has only been driven on to a hauler and off and in to the garage. I removed the cotter pin and attempted to tighten the castle nut, but the ball joint shaft is just rotating and I cannot tighten the nut any further. I'm thinking that maybe the chineesium ball joints I purchased don't have the right taper for the holes? Suggestions?

If the front suspension is off the ground, apply some pressure upward on the lower control arm using a floor jack or some type of hydraulic pump jack... This may help seat the ball joint a little tighter while you try to tighten the nut...

It was up on a floor jack under the shock mount when I was trying to tighten it. I think it's time for a better ball joint.
