Rear Fender Difference's

Rear Fender Difference's

I am in the process of restoring 71 442 Convertible. It has rust behind the rear wheel opening, lower part of backfender. My question is are all 70-72 Olds rear fenders the same? Cutlass S, Supreme, Hard Top.
Have any ideas? Rather have a used fender than an aftermarket. Rust is on the Quarter skin, not in the trunk.

No they are not the same, at least in outward appearance. Some body styles have the smooth flat panel and others have the little hump in them over the wheel well. I think the hump models are called Holiday Coupes. I'm sure more will respond soon and let you know.

Not sure about the 'hump' thing, however, the main difference is in the sail panel area!
'verts are finished where the quarter panel meets the soft top, whereas a hardtop continues 1/2 way up.
Years ago we made a hdtp. qrtr. fit a 'vert, ['vert was discontinued] but the labor charge was 10 hrs.

The area of concern is the lower bottom part of the quarter panel that trails the tire. This area gets the kick-up from the rear wheel.
Are all lower back quarters the same? Area below rear side lights. Any more ideas?

The lower parts look the same to me, but someone who knows for sure will have to comment. John
