Original Parts Group

Anyone know anything about the body bushing kit offered by OPG for my 72 Cutlass. It's a 26 piece set for $99
My concerns are first that's dog **** cheap for (as they put it ) "The gold standard since 96) My other concern is they look like really hard rubber. Shouldn't these have just a little give to them or am I way off here and a bushing is a bushing. My factory ones are compressed and worn out, but they also look like a softer type of rubber a little more spongey.
They also say " everything you need" pretty sure that means everything you need if your reusing all the old hardware. If anyone has been down this road
With OPG and it's not the right road maybe I will save some down time. Like to have the right set in my hand in a week or so. Thx

Could also use a quick review of this rear frame rail cross member from Auto Metal Direct they claim it's better factory. Need to have this also in a week or so.

I have used a set and they are not real hard they are just right about like shock mounting rubber. I am pleased with them.

Don't know about rear frame section

Interesting. What are the 26 pieces? I'd also point out that this doesn't include the radiator support bushings - those are separate.

I looked at the hardware kit for the body bushings (sold separately) which shows 26 pieces @ 21.95. They look pretty cheap to me (as in cheapo, not less expensive). The ad for the bushing kit only shows the bushings and doesn't state anywhere that it includes the hardware kit. I don't see 26 pieces in the bushing kit, I see 14. Am I missing something?

Can't answer about the rear frame rail, but I suspect it's going to be the same from everyone. For 115.00 it looks much better than the same part listed at OPGI for 155.00 IMO it would be worth the coin drop for a new part. It's definitely not the exact same part as OEM (compare my pic when i restored my rear in 2012) Yeah, the bushings are wrapped in tape to keep the paint off them.

Not sure if you need a whole set or replacing a few but I have a brand new set that I only used 3 if I'm not mistaken. I can check the set and we can work something out if you'd like to save a few bucks. Just putting it out there and I paid about the same for the set.

Sorry had to jump on a plane for a sick relative. I would be interestd in those bushings any hardware come with.
I do see a difference in that rear crossmember hole patterns and such. I'm really just hoping that the gauge steel is the same or better.
Love the rags on the jack stands. I was told I had OCD when I did something similar with bubble wrap but don't care I've been way more **** than that about stuff. No one has to know I recently stayed up till 3am just on the license plate light and housing getting it perfect. Lot of 3amers come to think of it. It's fun to me sitting at the bench doing smalls. What else am I gonna do watch Big Brother with the family ? Stupid show by the way just don't get all the hype.
