Is the frame off a 4dr lemans interchangeable with my 1966 convertible?

Hi, I wanted to know if a 1965 4dr lemans frame will interchange under my 1966 convertible cutlass? I will box it out myself. Jus wondering about the body mounts and the front horns. Let me know what u think. Thanks

Body mounts are ok but 66 Cutlass frame horns are spaced wider apart.

I believe the wheelbase is different, 2dr to 4dr, and you'd loose a lot of strength, as the vert frame is partially boxed.

I believe an "A" body is an "A" as far as the front horns go. I think there is a difference in the length of the frame, so I don't know if the mounts are in the same place. I believe will have to box the frame.

GM A body for 64-67 2dr 4dr wheelbase is the same. Except Vistas and SportWagons.Henry

66 and 67 Cutlass is the exception to the rule for 64-67 GM A body. The front frame horns are spread apart about 6 inches wider than the other 64-67 A bodies. Wheelbases are the same on 2dr and 4dr A body cars for 64-67. 115"Henry

I just found a 1966 Oldsmobile ninety eight convertible frame. Will this work for my 1966 cutlass?

No.
I have a hardtop frame for a 66 Cutlass, in Las Vegas, but you would have to add the boxing braces from your frame.

You are going to have to have a convertible frame since it is boxed to add strength for the convertible. A 98 frame would probably be about a foot too long. A 98 is a very large car and your cutlass is not. Just look at the wheelbase of these two cars.
