Need to replace the hinge pin on the drivers side door with the roller that the little arm glides across when you open and close the door. The roller is almost coming completely off. I'm buying a door hinge repair kit that include the pin with the roller.
How do I remove the spring on the hinge so that we can get the pin with the roller out?
Does the whole pin come out with the roller included from the hinge and then you slide the new pin with roller back through the empty slots?

I have a '67 with the same problem but I am struggling with how to remove the hinge, etc.
Tight spot and some kind of strange wrench needed?
From there I guess you drill out the old pin. OPGI has a replacement pin (stub) with roller.

check into a oem hinge the aftermarkets have there problems. once they are bad most usually need replacement.

The question I have is how do I remove that lower hinge?
Is there a special wrench?
Special mehodology?
Once I get it off, looks like repair is not so difficult.

 

There is a special wrench for removing the hinges, but I was able to get mine on an off with standard wrenches, a ratcheting box wrench, and an offset box wrench.
