Got a UNID tilt/cruise/column shift steering column core that I hope to rebuild and install in my '72 supreme. Was hoping someone could help me identify and tell me whether or not i can use it. The ID sticker looks to be pink or orange DI 7818835. There is a code stamped on it 255 A5, which I guess is a date code indicating its a '75 column? Referencing the Parts Manual, the shape of the shift bowl seems to indicate an "EXC F-85" tilt and travel column (if it happened to be an Olds) - so I guess that means B body or Caddy? The cruise lever has the black plastic cap with "Cruise" written in all caps, and an all black tilt lever cap. Not sure what other indicators there are to help ID it. More importantly, are there measurements I can take or some other way to determine fit? Thanks for any info - mark
