78-88 Manual Steering Box Question

Can anyone tell me what manual box will bolt on the GM G body chassis (also called the A Special from 78-82)?

Seems an S-10 is a direct bolt on but the pittman arm is different. Still wondering if any other GM car will work..

Pretty much any gm passenger car saginaw manual box will bolt up to the chassis. As you already stated, the pitman arm is the problem. If you think the S-10 arm is bad, try using a 64-67....they're even worse. Your center link will have at least 1/2" of rise on it, and be 1/2 inch out of center alignment if you try that one.

I made my own, by grafting the manual splines onto a power box arm.

I did the exact same thing on one of my Ford dirt cars years ago....

Looks like I'm in the market for an S-10 Saginaw 525 steering box... off to the boneyard tomorrow.
