67 Ninety Eight frame interchange

Hey everyone. Ive got a 1967 olds 98 2door. Love this car but the frame has rotted out to the point that i have to start thinking about replacing. Question is, are all 98 frames the same or are 4 door ones different? And does anyone know a source? Thanks

If the frame is rotted, what does the rest of the car look like? It might not be worth the effort being a 2 door car vs. convertible. You might be further ahead if you keep this one for parts, and invest in another in better condition. The only place that I know of to get a frame is one of the large yards in Arizona, and they don't come cheap. It is also a lot of work, and unless the body is rock solid, it will not be a fun job. I did frame replacements when that car was new, and it took 2 experienced guys a week to do the change over, and we didn't have to deal with rusted bolts, etc.

There are 2 frames used for the 67 98.
One for the 98 convertible.
One for all other 98 body styles.

I'm in Austin, Tx and have 2 67 98's(one 2drhdtp, one 4drhdtp)I'd sell a frame from.

RobbieQ, you will find that Henry is a good guy and will describe the frame honestly. If your car is worth saving, it could easily be worth a trip to Texas to get a good frame.

I'd take 450 for a bare frame or 750 for a complete rolling frame. Henry
