67 442 Vinyl Top Molding

Hi, I am new to classsicoldsmobile.com. I hope I am posting in the correct place. I have a 67 442 with a build 69 455. I am in the restoration process and am interested in 2 items:
1) the vinyl top trim. I have reviewed the discussions on this subject and understand the opportunity rust. None the less, will the vinyl top trim molding from a 67 Chevelle fit my 67 442? Also, has anyone had any experiance with Corvex Moldings?

2) I need to have my front bumper rechromed or replaced. I live in Eastern NY. Any suggestions or experiences I should be aware of?

I am excited to be a member of classicoldsmobile.com. Thanks for your help.

First, Welcome to the site!

I've got 2 '67 Cutlass Supremes and both are missing the vinyl top trim. But I did ask about the trim. If I understond correctly Cutlass/442 trim is different from Chevelle. And I believe it's the "Check mark" shaped piece at the back corner that is different. Someone more knowledge will chime in though.

I know nothing about Corvex trim.

Welcome to the board. I do no for a fact that the trim is different on a Chevelle but it might be the same on Buicks and Pontiacs. The sails are longer on a BOP. Good luck with the project.

PS if you have access to a nice Chevelle trim for a good price then jump on it. I have sold several and they will bring 250.00-400.00 to the right person

Welcome to the website. It is cool to see someone that appreciates vinyl tops. Even though they can be rust traps they sure are beautiful. Post some pics of your car. We MUST see it!

BTW, sorry I don't know about Corvex, and I don't know anything about Chevelles. Welcome!

The V shaped moldings are not shared by other divisions according to the Olds price schedule.
