Thanks,

Kanter and Fusick are both on the internet. Good places to start. Welcome to our site.

What parts are you looking for? The full size cars are not terribly popular and so there are few dedicated repro and restoration parts available. Mechanical parts are common with 442s and similar vintage GM full size cars and are readily available. Note that the 65-70 full size cars have a lot of interchangeable parts. Also, as noted above, Fusick and USA Parts Supply are two major vendors for full size Olds parts.

Thanks for the advice, I'll start checking out the sites and thanks for the interchange info. As far as parts go, I am looking for quite a bit. Some things are: the turn signal "collar"? I can't think of the correct name, but mine is busted, and the fender trim for the driver's side..... pretty much anything. Oh, and also would anybody know how difficult it would be to put a Chevy sb 350 in? It has an Olds 330 in it right now with a TH400 trans.....

Thanks again,
Cary

Ok sit down while ya read this.....the 65 Delta came with a 425....a super strong and powerful engine...I dont know if and how a 330 got in there but if ya put a Chev engine there you have created a super turd....just my opinion. As for parts check Ebay and post and ad on ROP....there are also online junkyards....that should provide body and trim parts.

Yeah, I know it came with a 425..... but I got it from my junk yard after a little old lady gave it to us..... and I checked it out, and it has a 330..... it sucks... So, then my question is, what would my best bet be for an engine? Also... what's ROP? Oh, and where would I go to figure out what all would interchange with my car? I want to put different control arms on it that have a different ball joint..... mine cost way too much...

If ya have an Olds its gonna be expensive to fix, drive, and get parts....thats why there is such a greater following for Ford and Chevy. A 425 should not be hard to find at all. Do ya think a 350 chevy will power that boat much better than the Olds engine thats there now?...I dont unless its a HP crate engine and for that money ya can rebuild a 425. Oh by the way the turbo 400 trans that is there now doesnt have the same bolt pattern for the Chevy engine.....ROP is www.realoldspower.com there's lots of activity there, some good and some bad.

Well, I figured it was gonna be expensive, but my ball joints run me $120 a piece for the top and $70-ish a piece for the bottom.... (autozone) I then looked a ball joint for a 442 same year, and the most expensive upper ball joint was $40-ish. So I was just hoping that I could find a set of control arms that would bolt up, but use the other ball joint..... Oh, and thanks for the ROP info and the engine stuff....

Balljoints are things that do go bad but its not like you will be replacing them often....keep em greased and they should last a very long time.....its a one time expense. They are also very important. Ya would not want one to fail while driving....its not nice to be without steering at speed!

This thread is from 2007. USA Parts Supply went bankrupt and was bought out and reopened in that time. People who have dealt with them since then have had problems.
