63 Cutlass lower window frame,I need one.

Received a wonderful surprise today when I removed the drivers side front

window and discovered that the bottom channel is rotted out and separated.

Is there anyone out there who knows if there are any ways I can replace

this part? Can it be welded? Can I use a frame from another car, 64 Chevelle

or newer cutlass or other GM cars? This can't be as impossible as it seems

at the moment. Hoping someone has done this already.

Russel,
I just replaced the channel in my 63 Jetfire. Steel Rubber has reproduced them. The web site link is below. If you need some photos I can send them. Send me your email address.

Ken,

Many thanks to you for your help in showing me the way to solve this

window channel problem. Bought the parts from Steele and had them

powder coated.Reinstalled windows and now I'm on the road again.

Guys like you are why this site is one of the best.
