'61 98 fuel line routing?
#2
In those years Oldsmobile ran rubber fuel line from the tank sender, thru the rear frame rail box section over the axle, and then connected to a steel line just ahead of the rear wheel. The metal line ran along the frame siderail and then connected to another section of rubber line that ran thru the front frame rail box section to the fuel pump suction. The return line if equipped was routed the same way.
One of the hatefullest jobs my blue Starfire ever put me thru was running new rubber fuel lines. It's a factory air car with return line and it was an adventure in frustration trying to snake two rubber lines thru the frame without the car being on a lift. Even the old standby trick of wiring the new line to old line and pulling it thru didn't work but so well.
Of course, the body wasn't on the frame when the factory guys installed the rubber lines, and they weren't laying on their back trying to do it.
