WANTED: Late 1980's Custom Cruiser (pref. "woodie")
I'm going for a breeding pair with the '89 I already have. I just missed out on another '89 for $600 here in Michigan (last time the kids get to do homework on the computer during my Craigslist-scanning time!) and it has me in the lookin' mood.
[They say never go to the grocery store when you're hungry, but I have a hankerin' for a(nother) hunk o' wagon!]
My requirements are simple, and the same as they were when I found my current 'Cruiser: 1987-to-1990 with AT LEAST the "1SC" option package (tippy-top "1SD" pkg. preferred) and WITHOUT (preferably) the load-leveler system (though I'm undecided on the Towing Package).
Not easy to find, I know. But I'm not looking for a concours-level car (though better than the last two I checked out as they were more rust than car) and a tired-but-honest one is ALWAYS better than a shiny-but-rotten one.
They seem to come up around once monthly here in Southeast Michigan, so if, in your travels (virtual or otherwise) you happen to see one, let me know.
[Oh, and if you know a believable answer I can use when my wife asks why I'm measuring the driveway, that'd be great, too...]
