Cutlass in DFW, TX?
i'm looking for a Cutlass hardtop between 1964 to 1972 in the DFW, TX area. i need a project car that needs to be rebuilt.
i'd really like a 1967 Cutlass Supreme 4 door but those seem quite rare. i used to have 1 but I didn't have time or space for it and had to get rid of it.
Additionally, it is quite difficult to find a Cutlass in my area that isn't already restored for $30000 or it's been bastardized by 22" wheels and screens installed. lol
Anyone know of something decent? I'm about to hit the independent lots on Division in Arlington and see what they have

Thanks oldcutlass! I've been looking daily on craigslist. You have any pics of the '67? I can PM my email for you to send to.
I'm looking at a '72 for a bit less than that right now. They'd definitely have to cut the 8k in half. I saw that 1 last week and thought about emailing but most people seem set in their price until it doesn't sell
I'm mostly concerned with:
has a good body (doesn't have to be perfect or anything)
has a straight frame
has an engine
rolls

Oh! I used to get a catalog like 12 years ago that were all classic Olds parts. I can't find 1 anywhere to see if the place still exists. I can't think of the name of it either. Anyone familiar with such a catalog?

Rockauto is great for normal chassis parts.

What condition are you looking for? My buddy has a 72 that he would get rid of and i think he was asking 750 on it.

He said he will take $1500 for it. Basically what we can parting it out and salvage the rest. It has not run since 94, has a 330/2v, Jetaway trans. Bumpers need to be replaced, and has a dent in the rt rear passenger door (can be fixed) Some surface rust but no rot. This is a non-running project.
I'll see if I can get some pic's, my camera sux, or you can just come on down with a trailer and haul it off.

I've got a 1967 Cutlass Supreme 2 door that I just spent a hour typing a post about, and it disappeared instead of making it onto this thread. I can show it or get pictures next week. It ran when I parked it in 2004 and should run with a little work. The motor, 330 4 barrel isn't stuck. 2 speed auto trans, buckets and console. I'm asking $2500 and will include some extra parts to go with it. I'm sick of typing and even sicker of losing that other post. Let me know if you're interested.

'71 Cutlass supreme
I have a '71 Cutlass Supreme that might interest you: 350 Q-jet, TH350 trans, AC, PS, PDB, 14" SSI wheels. It's an Arlington-built car, cowl tag says O5B132 which would be 2nd week of May. It's a split-bench seat with white interior and white vinyl top and the body color is #49 Antique Jade Iridescentt (a very cool color if you ask me). Not the usual Pea green you see from this era. It's a little banged up, but the motor is numbers matching, and appears to have the original factory paint. It's not been repainted. The body is very solid with the exception of the floors which will need patch panels. The floors are rusted because someone removed the windshield and left the car open to the weather. There is a little rust behind the rear window from the vinyl top. The the halo molding around the vinyl top is all there and I have the windshield trim as well. The rear quarter panels have silver dollar sized rust behind the rear wheels in the trunk drop off area which could be easily patched as the surrounding sheet metal is very solid. The front fenders are not rusted out at the bottoms like you normally see, but they will need some massaging to smooth out the fender-bender dents. Rear bumper is straight with decent chrome and tail light assemblies, no front bumper. The starter will crank the motor and the engine will turn but not turn-over. What I mean is it isn't completely frozen up, but there must be some surface rust at the top of the cylinders that prevents a complete revolution. The motor has no.7 heads. A great starting point for a numbers-matching restoration, and a great color combination too!
Here's a few pics.

Did this guy ever find a car? I have a 67 442, very straight except bottom front of passenger fender, needs front floor pans and trunk side pans. It has a 455 it, it runs, dont know about the tranny, needs a master cylinder, its factory air. I bought it to swop out its options with my basic parts from the 442 im building. Its Saffron yellow black bucket interior, auto, FM. This is a great car to restore, sits well, runs, no brakes working at the time. It needs complete restoration.

Are you still looking at junk? I am going to sell this car at some point. The 455 engine build sheet and mild restoration will make your eyes water for a very fair price. I am going to listed in Hemmings maybe this weekend. PM me if interested.
