What octane gas are you using? I have only 91 with 10 percent ethanol here where I live. I know that year 455 likes Super Premium gas, but all we have here is regular premium. Also, how much body filler is under the paint? And, how long have you owned the car? Your rebuild looks really good. I'm debating within myself whether I can live without A/C or not. Super hot here in the summer. Thanks.

The best way to have A/C on these old cars is to add it later via Vintage or another source. The factory A/C car HVAC controls are vacuum operated which is problematic in 50 plus year old iron. Cleaner install too.

I use 87 octane in it with a bottle of additive in every other tank full, that seems to work great, with no pinging at all, we used a little over a half gallon of filler on the whole car, We have owned the car for about 9 years. the A/C is best to use the vintage air after market units, they work better anyway in my opinion.
Thanks
John

yes, there are patches in lower quarters, and pass front floor, but got the sheet metal from a rust free car, and it was all but welded.
Thanks

I will put one on it if you are interested for $52K, what color would you like. I also been thinking about putting a ram air hood on it, what do you guys think about that.

With the new hood, your best bet is to put it in a big well-attended auction. It's a very attractive car.

Can’t believe this car hasn’t found a new owner. Even before the addition of the ram air hood, it’s one heck of a car! GLWS!

Do you have a better picture of the back? The pictures on MarketPlace make the trim at the back of the quarter appear to be sitting an inch higher than the trunk molding

It is a factory hood, and I will get a better pic of the back, when the weather is a little better, but it is not an inch different

It could just be the angle of the photo. Also, do you have the specs on the motor rebuild, types of parts, what was replaced, etc.

The number matching engine, was taken to a machine shop and had the cylinders bored 30 over, new cam bearings and brass freeze plugs installed, new pistons installed on rods, the motor was checked for cracks, the original E heads were reworked with all new valves and springs and a 3 angle valve job, then was assembled with new piston rings, rod and main bearings , new roller cam set up, new oil pump and screen, and here is a pic of the rear of the car

yep I was going to offer also . I know its a stripe delete car and I understand trying to keep true to the originality when restoring it but man thats a lot of blue with no stripes to break it up. beautiful car , if it had stripes and a lower price it might be in my garage . Im going to watch the auction also, who knows he might get more than he's asking here.
