68 Delmont in CT-Salvageable Drivetrain

A friend has his late Dad’s 68 Delmont in Hartford that he needs gone. It appears to be unmolested 455, 2v, C heads,TH400, ~80k miles, clutch pivot pad present but is not drilled/tapped, the car itself is pretty whooped. It was in an open garage for years and was then moved outside a few years back. Hood and air cleaner have always been in place. I went to see if engine turned but front pulley face is solid and I wasn’t gonna dick with it. I don’t think it could be turned by the belts, not likely they would take the tension.

Car needs to be pulled out and towed off. If interested, PM me and I’ll give you his contact info.

Price? Don’t know, a few hundred bucks? That could be worked out with him.

There are still a few left out there. Hope they find an interested party.

I would grab it myself but being handicapped AND not having any plan for it have kept me from salvaging it. I would only want the engine & trans anyway.

I bet there's a forged crank hiding in there for cheap! That's how I got mine!

Agreed - would be interesting to see the build date or VIN number to see roughly when it was built.
