Holy Crap! THAT is exactly the same car I learned to drive in!!! EXACTLY like the one Dad bought back in 67 right down to the exterior/interior colors and wheel covers!

I think 'very nice' understates that beauty.

Just thought of something. If that's an original and has been in the family since new - it should have all the original docs including Bill of Sale, window sticker, POP etc. Talk about a time capsule. I've seen the 'show pics' of that car before and drooled over them.

As nice as it is, and it is nice, I think they are dreaming with that price.

Dagnabbit!! Eric I was so enthralled with the car I didn't look at the price. You know how that is right?? Yup, it's pretty steep but I think someone will buy it. It's up here in Canada where all these classics get appraised for more than they're usually worth. Gotta see if Dada Money bags has some spare change....

Naw, you'd hate it. That car doesn't have AC and I know Granbury isn't exactly in the moderate climate belt. I still love the rear to front profile shot of that car. Looks so elegant - just like a 'baby limo' if you know what I mean... That design is pure magic!

Mine has no A/C! I agree a very nice car, but not a $22k car.

But not for an dd as suggested in the ad. Oh, don't forget - new tires in 87. Only the spare's still original. I hardly think the issue of a headlight or tires will make or break this sale. Those items are considered basic maintenance and would be required to keep the car legal and safe. Just thinking about how much Dad paid for his compared to what is being asked now would make his spine shiver. He had Scots ancestry so you can deduce what the implication is.

LOL, I'll break it down for you.
I think you get the part about mtce and wear/tear items.

dd - daily driver. Why spend 22K for old when you can get better tech/performance and economy with a new 15-18K car with warranty?

Dad was Scottish heritage. Scots don't like to spend money; or at least when they do they want the most value for the $ spent. If Dad was still with us he would prolly have wished he had bought 10 of these and socked them away to get that kind of 'return' on his money. That help?
