Looking to sell my 1971 442 w-30 project

Sorry to all that respond a year ago when i posted this, been a hell of a year.

I have a 1971 442 w30 4speed hardtop with a 455. Basket case (damn near all the pieces, no interior) frame is done. Ready to start putting together. Ultimate project car. But I live in Pittsburgh. all new factory GM body panels waiting to be put on. Was dismantled in the 80's got most the original parts that came off it like gages, motor and tranny. Collected parts for years. Its my dad's life project but unfortunately he passed away last year. It's gonna be heartbreaking to do without him for the right price it's up for sale. I got a lot of parts for this car, all body panels, floors and bumpers are new. Hood that came of it. Missing right quarter. Got alot for this car but its probably not everything. No interior no exhausted old wires. Even got a gal of the original gold paint for it. Looking for a honest person to give me a honest price. I think it's worth around 20k. May be wrong.

In the last year have done alil research found out there was only around 600 made. And my 20k isn't ridiculous. It is number matching body, motor/transmisson (olds. W-455 with 4gear m-22 rock crusher tranny) . But no build sheet. Frame is already redone so haven't found numbers on it yet. Its a hoilday coupe. I dont know what all pieces i have or missing. But im priceing base on body, frame, motor, tranny. New OEM bumpers drivers quarter, door skins, fenders, all floors. Original hood, gages, doors, grills, crome, rad support, radio, lights, spoiler, ladder bars. I have alot of parts. But i am missing. Interior, gas tank, inner fenders.
Please let me know what everyone thinks.

Sorry to hear of your Pops passing Jim. You should post up some pics of it, that
would help prospective buyers to see what's what. GLWS.

What part of town are you in? I could possibly eyeball this and take pics for a serious out of town buyer...

Sorry have not took pictures yet. Im 25 and live a pretty busy life. None of the mechanics are done. Me and my dad built a house instead and never got to the car. Frame is redone with rear end, suspension, brakes, drums in back disc up front. (the pumpkin says w 27 on it. Not sure what that means). Body is a lil rough but the roof, firewall and structure is good and i have OEM fenders, all floors, drivers quarter, door skins and bumpers. And the trunk lid is in good shape also

Another PM sent. I am a serious out of town buyer looking for a good project. Not to far from Pittsburgh and would like to drive up to see the car. Let me know.

Thank you,

John

"Could" mean a WHOLE LOT or not depends on what all is there and if it's the real deal

Sorry for your loss

Looking for frame and tranny numbers. Sorry i dont know if posting my vin# and body tag is a good idea 🗨 also heard rear windshild is valuable and i got 2 is that true? Thank you to everyone giving me their advice and opinions learned alot lately

Alot of people are messaging me, sorry cant email everyone individually (but i do read every private message) so im trying to answer as a group since alot of them are the same questions

Once you find docs, or other proof of being a w-30, then the 20k will not be ridiculous. The problem is that a car that's apart and needing total resto means either big bucks or lots of time to get it restored. There's three kinds of Olds guys. Guys with a lot of money who will buy a restored car, guys with no money but a lot of time who will buy a project and put heart and soul into it, and guys with money and time, who will buy a project because it is a rare car, and put lots of time and money into it to have something awesome at the end.

A guy with big bucks isn't going to want your car, as he'll buy a restored 71 W-30, and a guy with no money won't meet your price. The third guy, with money and time, is going to insist on ironclad proof that it is a numbers w-30, which means both proof of numbers, and proof of being a w-30.

Good luck with sale, and I hope you find docs.
