A dark day in History

For sale is a 1979 Oldsmobile Omega SX. Its a 2 door hatchback coupe. It was originally a father/son project car that he lost interest in. The original 305 is out and we bought a 77 Olds 403 small block and tranny for it. The engine was from a 77 Firebird and ran when pulled 2 weeks ago, just needs a new carb. The tranny has only 10 miles on a rebuild. The interior is mostly there, but pulled out since my wife was going to redo it. The asking price is $1000 for the car and $600 for the engine or $1500 for both firm. Please no sight unseen buyers. Would much prefer to have an interested buyer come see the vehicle and engine before they commit to it. If interested, please contact us at 334-221-9575 or at Greymalkyn99@aol.com. Ask for Heidi or Jason. If serious, please provide us with a contact name and number so one of us can get back to you if we are unavailable. Providing pics of engine and car, will get pics of extra items and interior as soon as my camera battery is charged.

To bad your son gave up on it. Looks like a great father and son project. Good luck in selling it

That looks like a decent project and should be a blast with a mildly built 403. I always liked this body style X-car better than the 68-74 that everybody goes nuts over.

Not to be nosy, but what changed your boy's mind? Please tell us your young'un hasn't decided to go ricer.

Good advice to fend off the spammers on craigslist... if I may also add, you can tell the buyer in your add to put "Omega" in the subject line or be deleted. Something like that to help weed out spammers.

Nice looking project car... some day your son may regret giving up on it and when he's in his 30's or 40's he'll probably be looking for one because of the memory... you never know, he may come back around

I can't believe you suggested that. The sad thing is that it would help sell the car.

No, he hates ricers. We recently moved to Alabama and he wants money for a plane ticket to go back home for the summer. I told him that if he gives up this car, he's on his own for his next one. Besides, I think my wifes eyes are glistening now since I told her once I was done with his car, I would work on one for her.

Teenagers are fickle! After getting a couple of offers for the car, my son decides that he does NOT want to sell it now......
