What do you guys think of the price? It looks like there isn't a good rear window between the 3 and maybe only 1 engine/transmission. What is the next to last pic? I think it shows a rusted out floor board or rear tray. I can't tell.
I saw a 58 88 Fiesta wagon for sale near LA about a year ago. It was a driver and the owner was asking about $12k. I thought it was reasonable. You don't see these very often.
I think his price is way too high. I don't think he has two parts cars and one restorable car, I think he has three parts cars. I didn't see any there that would be worth the cost to restore. Better to use these cars to restore others.
rare to survive in any condition..the chrome on those would be 15k+ each to be redone..i think the generation that loves those cars is about gone....and its cheaper to buy a done one than build one anymore.... chrome price kills the price of restoring those type of cars..
Are you kidding me? Heck the patina on those cars alone would cost $7900 to get done professionally.
I really love the Fiesta wagons. I'll be going to an all Olds show on Saturday. Usually there's a fully restored 58 Fiesta there. I'll get some pictures to show you. I'll also check what its appraised value is and what it cost to get done; IF he'll tell me.
Here in Calif. we have car Hoarders too. Like this guy with 28 Olds 4 68 H/O, 2 69 H/O and Cutlass and 442's. This other guy has 50 cars all 57 Olds. I have some pics i'll try and find them.

window shopping is more fun than a kick in the *****....
shop on..i do it all the time..i put a list together as i find stuff...day dream about it a little and when i wake up the next day most gets deleted..lol...all part of being a car guy
Sad to see them in that condition. At that price they will never be any thing more than yard furniture.
Yeah, I think your right.
What engine would these have had? The 303, 371 or something else?
BTW, the next to last pic is the rear tray in the blue wagon. You can see the rust in the 2nd to last pic as well. With that much rust in the nicest of the 3 they are definitely pretty far gone. There are just so few left...
I'm sorry, but I thought these were all Fiesta station wagons. I thought Fiesta was the name used for hardtop station wagons of the 50s...
I agree that they're pretty far gone. It would be a monumental task restoring one. Too bad I'm just window shopping though.
I was being a smart azz about being extremely rare. The guy selling the 3 called them DELTA 88's in his ad. The DELTA name came about in the mid 60's. His reason for selling was to move on to other projects.
My inner thoughts were that they were not a "project" for him, and he had no idea what he was selling, or the value.
I'd love to have a 57 Olds Fiesta, but I just don't have the time for one at this moment. They ARE a beautiful car when done right.
I'll try to attach a pic of one I saw a couple years ago.
I would love to find a 50s Olds or mid 60s B/C body convertible to do a frame off restoration on. I think these would be perfect if they weren't so far gone.
