Apparently this guy kept every car that we all "wished we never sold".


I only looked at the video quickly (the 70 pace car is at 4:37 of the video). If you look at the detailed history of every car, he bought them all for next to nothing and it looks like he never restored any of them.

It'd be awesome just to be able to see all of those old cars and parts in person.
I wish I were closer. I'd bid on the 442.

 

I went to the auction on Friday morning. None of the cars were detailed (dirty, flat tires, convertible roofs torn/missing panels, rusted out body/floors, animal destruction, etc.) and I doubt any were in running condition. They did not detail the Trans Am with 10 miles. Many parts were NOS or good used. I do not know how the parts sold. My friend and I stayed and watched the first several cars sell but left before noon. Everything seemed to be selling for very high dollars. Many attendees and also internet bidding. One may be able to see the auction results online.

 

I was there both days. The takeaway is dont ever buy at an auction but sell. There were a couple dealers that were paying crazy prices that I can't imagine what the mark ups will be but they must know more than I do. Guys came from FL and farthest plates I saw was Wyoming. Here's what 25K looks like...

wow was it number matching any paper work

 

Supposedly all the cars had extensive paperwork. I didn't know a 396 and 4 speed with a vin was worth 25K because there wasn't a salvageable panel on the car let alone the frame and interior issues. Heck there was not a hood to be found.

 

I think they only made 50 big block pace cars and if it has paper work and correct engine $$$$$$
