Hi Bridget, if you could put pictures of the car into your ad it would lend a lot of visual appeal to the sale. You should also list all the options the car has + it's strong points (mechanical/electrical/interior/body condition etc) and its weak spots too.
Very sorry to hear about your grandmother - my condolences.
Just so you know, the big Oldsmobiles don't usually command the high prices that the A body does. I'm glad you're willing to bargain, but be prepared that 6500.00 for this type of car with high mileage may be high.
EDIT: Ok, I just looked at your profile page. What a gorgeous car.
This car also has AC, RS mirror, the rare polycast SSIV wheels in really nice shape. 102K is not really high mileage for a 455. The dash looks to be in amazing condition and the outside of the car from what can be seen in the pictures is in very nice shape. Hope you don't mind that I added this stuff on your behalf.

You're welcome Bridget. Maybe you could put together an inventory of features the car has? List things like Power windows, power door locks, power trunk, trunk light, interior accessory lighting? power seats, rear defogger..etc. The more heavily optioned the car is, the more potential it has for attracting a buyer.
Did you keep service/maintenance records for the car? List things you have done or you know need doing. Particular attn to brakes, cooling, exhaust - safety issues. Those are things a buyer will want to know.
How negotiable are you on price?
If you want to add pictures to your home page album, I can certainly post them up in this part of the thread for you if you want.

I know. I've been thinking very hard about it. I'd still like to see more info on the car as I suggested ^^^. I agree it's a gorgeous car and I've always been a sucker for BIG Oldsmobiles. That one is soooo close to being a 98 it's not funny.

I'm confused The pictures on your album shows the odometer at 028220 which is actually 102,822.0 miles. Old cars only have 5 place holders for miles and the last one is for tenths of a mile. Newer cars will show 6 place holders for miles + the tenths so you have a total record of how far the car has gone.
