Must be one of one, very rare.

 

This looks like the car from ebay a few weeks ago... I think the bidding went to 21K as the previous owner didn't bother to clean the interior or exterior

 

I like it, change dash done!

 

Big money for it. Stripes look all wrong too me besides the AC dash. Nothing about documentation ether.

 

Why is it rare on these? What about on other models?

 

AC was NOT available on W31's.......he made that comment w/sarcasm

 

Why were they not an option on the W31?

 

cuz they were so damm fast all you needed was to roll the windows down.
but what makes you think it's an a/c dash?i can't really make out if it has grilles in the center dash vent or if its a block off plate.the side vents are ventilation.thats how my w-31 was.the f-85 w-31 will have no side or center vents.

 

So were the W-31's performance focused and they ditched the compressor to gain some hp?

 

W31's did not come with a/c or power brakes. They didn't produce enough vacuum.

 

This is the car that was on Ebay a month ago. Was from NY near newburgh. Bet he bought it below 20, gave it a wash and wax and is flipping it.

 

He also fixed the rust bubbles on the trunk lid - if you zoom in on the photo you can see it has been painted

 

I’m pretty sure this car shows Platinum on the cowl tag.
