68 442 W30 Convertible Barn find - PA
Sadly, these lying thieving used car salesmen have taken over the classic car hobby. Sites like a Bring A Trailer are getting bad.
I call out these thieving liars whenever I get a chance. I called out one on BAT and he got pissed and went after me. He is trying to sell off a 1972 Cutlass "442" and it's been hacked up and poorly put together. Yet, idiots on the site are willing to bid on it, and it will probably sell for $30k.
This 68 442 is junk. The entire frame is rusted & broken garbage. Maybe worth $1k-$2k for the salvageable parts.

Years ago, I called out a local dealer for trying to sell a '72 Cutlass as a W-30 4-4-2 even though it was a K-code and had no documentation. I told him there was no proof it was born a 4-4-2 (which designation had reverted to option status that model year) and definitive proof that it wasn't a W-30 (K rather than X in the VIN's fifth place).
His response? "Well, it is now!"

Personally I have no problem seeing idiots get separated from their money. Anyone stupid enough to bid well into five figures on that car without checking it out deserves to be taken.

I have a 69 w30 in a much better position to be called a W car . Bought the car with the corect 1969 only air cleaner laying in the trunk. OAI OEM hoses and under bumper ducts and bracketry OEM Red inners OEM Water bottle in correct position even the self tap hoes in the fire wall for the washer hoses ! No original motor or trans but correct rear end No paper Documentation much like this 68 in Question.. Just having the correct air cleaner found in the trunk makes mine more documented than this 68 Maybe it need to go on coparts two for the big april fools Heist of 22 LOL Takes a lot of ***** to try and pull this off .We'll see ? Il be the guy in the corner with my hand over my mouth to keep the word sucker from coming out
This car just needs to be bought for cheap and parted so it will go away but at a $32k min bid this guy is going to have it forever
