That car cannot be a 1998 Regency because there was no such car. The last year for the Ninety-Eight model was 1996, and it was called Ninety-Eight Regency Sedan Elite.
This is from "Oldsmobile - The Last Chapter," the follow-on booklet to "Setting the Pace: Oldsmobile's First 100 Years." It shows all of the Oldsmobile models for 1998, and the Ninety-Eight is not there. It wasn't there for 1997, either.
The first column of numbers (in orange) is the base price of each model. The columns after that are production, wheelbase, length, weight, number of cylinders, engine type, bore & stroke, displacement, horsepower, and "comments."
You say you have a clean title. What does it say the car's year is?
The car looks too nice to crush, but then again, there's not much demand for these. If it is a '96, it would have the distinction of being the last year for the Ninety-Eight model. That might mean something to someone.
In 1997 and 1998, they tried to transplant the Regency name onto the 88 as a higher end package. Not sure of all the nuances but have bumped into a few of these 88 regencies in my cragislist searches
In 1997 there was the Delta 88 Sedan-Regency, which was the most expensive of the three Delta 88 versions that year. For 1998, it was called the "88 Regency," the most expensive of the four versions of the 88 that year. I wonder if the OP's car is actually an 88 and not a 98.

I get it now. The car is a 1998 Eight-Eight Regency. Not a Ninety-Eight Regency. My mistake. It was called simply "Regency," even though it's actually an 88 Regency.
