That was a fun show. I was there with my 68 442. Hey does anyone know if Glen Morris’ amazing 68 Ram rod was entered for judging? Must not have been because he didn’t even place.
I spent a lot of time looking over his car and his binder. It’s one of those cars I was looking forward to seeing in person. —Billy

I doubt Glen entered it for judging, his car is in the stratosphere with all the awards he's won in the past, he may have retired it from competition for the NEOC show. I've done the same thing with my 79 Blue Calais, I was show only at that show as I've won a first place with it 2x and I have no interest in putting it in the Senior Class.
Same with the AACA meets or the OCA meets, once I get a first in a Junior Class I'm done with getting the car judged unless I have to in order to get it on the show field. No seniors for me, just drive and enjoy is good enough.

Technically Gene's 79 is still an A body . There was also this other 79 in Seniors with only 7k miles, amazing! The flyer, award and dash plaque 66 Cutlass was also in Seniors and was a straight 6, three on the tree car, cool!
This was the first time I was at this show and was well worth the drive! The drive-in theatre location is a very cool venue and the large pavilion is also great. Of course the weather could not be beat and also helped with the almost 100 car turnout. Great work by all in the New England Oldsmobile Club for putting on a great event and we appreciate it!

I remember years ago, many years ago, I walked over to see Glen's car and I asked him if he knew what the Ram Air set up looked like, and I told him the robot in Lost in Space (old tv show). I then started in with my imitation of "Danger Will Robinson, Danger, Warning, Warning, Danger!" He wasn't really amused with that but that's ok. That's just me. I still think it looks like that.

Thanks Alain. I figured so. Just wanted someone in the know to verify.
Ha ha ha. I so get it. Kids in the crowd may not get it so much.
I am confused. Was something said wrong?

Thought I'd post a picture or two myself. Great show. Great weather. Great people. I drove 240 miles round-trip in my 1978 Delta 88 Holiday coupe and I'll do it again next year. Even managed to average 16.8 mpg considering my factory 3.23 gears and 403, I kept it at about 65 mph the whole trip to keep the rpms at 2800 or so. People were flying by me on Route 84 in CT like I was standing still. It was even worse on the Mass Pike (Route 90).. No wonder Mass is voted near the top of the list for worst drivers in the country.
The last photo shows my favorite car of the entire show- an un-restored 49K mile 1970 Olds 98 convertible. It took 1st place in its class. Love the color!

That 2nd photo's got a piece of my LH rear quarter in it. Note that rusty tail pipe. That will be gone soon, I'm going back to single exhaust before winter sets in, that Hurst-Style 1 in 2 out muffler is getting old and worn out and they are no longer available as a separate unit. Waldron has the correct entire cat back system for sale now but they are $465 aluminized and over $700 stainless. I already have a walker single exhaust setup (even the down pipe) on the shelf and ready to go. Might as well save big $ putting on stuff I already have. I realize my horsepower will suffer, but going from 108hp back to 105hp probably won't make it any slower than it already is.
