Lightbulb 1976 Cutlass Supreme 2 Dr. LOW Miles

---SOLD!---
For Sale - (Listing for a friend)

1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 Door.

Excellent original 2 owner car with 43,900 actual miles! This is a 100% rust free vehicle from the low humidity Rocky Mountain West! Sold new at Ralph Schomp Oldsmobile in Denver, CO and is still in the metro Denver area. This car has been in inside storage and not driven for the last 20 years, but has been occasionally started and ran.

Options include: bucket seats and console, tilt steering column, air conditioning (all components there but due to being in storage for so long assume it will need service), factory light green tinted glass, and original landau vinyl top in excellent condition. Correct 15x7 SuperStock III wheels including spare added 20 years ago. Correct sport mirrors included with car if new owner wishes to have them painted and installed.

This car is painted the one year only color Lime Metallic (paint code 40) with white and green compaticolor interior. 100% original paint. Paint and body has some fade, dings, and scratches. Worst scrape is on the passenger side of the roof. Beautiful condition chrome bumpers! Nearly flawless interior! The driver's seat has been repaired by an upholstery shop with correct NOS vinyl. Near mint condition white interior plastic, dash, carpet, and console. An aftermarket radio and rear speakers were installed decades ago. The hard plastic steering wheel is badly cracked.

This car has an Olds 350 ci V-8 engine with 4 bbl Quadra-Jet carburetor and TH-350 automatic transmission. The car runs great. It needs a new muffler. A new aftermarket muffler comes with the vehicle but hasn't been installed.

Some service paperwork from the original selling dealership included verifies mileage. Clear Colorado title. This is an Arlington, TX built car and I am almost positive the build sheet is somewhere in this car! This Cutlass Supreme would make a beautiful weekend cruiser or fun collector car to enjoy!

PRICE REDUCED to $6,000.00. Serious inquiries please send me a PM for more information. Again, I am not the owner but am helping her sell it. The car is no longer in the metro Denver, CO area. It is now in the Jefferson City, MO area. The owner is moving again and needs to sell her car.

What a blast from the past, when we were kids my friends parents owned a very similar green w white cutlass. The car had seen better days and as was typical for New England cutlii the rear bumper had rotted off the car and was replaced w a 2x8? Plank. One night as we progressed down a cart path to get to our destination in the woods i was following the cutlass in my truck, well my friend was bouncing along and exceeding the limits of good sense (as kids will do) and the rear of tha car bottomed out splintering the rear bumper ( the aforementioned 2x plank) and the splintered part of the plank tumbled through the air and ended up sticking into the ground pointed end first. We left it there and over the next several trips that way we laughed every time we saw it.

Obviuosly this car has been treated much better than that.

Cool story! The one year only metallic lime color is such a unique and striking color. I laughed when I read about the wood plank rear bumper on your car! I've seen a few myself! The rear bumpers of the 76-77 Cutlass 2 doors were not the best design. They trapped dirt and salt, and rusted out badly. Even quite a few of them "out west" had rust holes or rust bubbling through the chrome. At least not as bad as the whole bumper falling off though! I have heard that Olds engineers wanted to change the design of the rear bumper because they knew about the tendency for the rear bumper reinforcement to trap dirt, but tens of thousands of rear bumper assemblies had already been made so the design was left alone.

The car I'm helping my friend sell has lived a charmed life. It's been in inside storage alot of years and the body, chrome, and interior are all very very nice!

$10,900 or best offer. Serious inquiries please send me a PM for more information. Again, I am not the owner but am helping her sell it. She is elderly and has decided she needs to sell her car.

Gary,
Did the elderly owner come up with her asking price ?

There's a little wiggle room, but she is wanting close to the asking price listed. The car is very nice and would make a wonderful weekend cruiser, or could very easily be made into a high level show car.

If you know of anyone interested please have them message me.

Thank you,

Are you sure it's a 350/350? The engine deck looks wider and usually the 350 got gold paint, not blue as the 455 did. Looks like a nice example of a survivor car. No disrepect but the color is the only thing that is somewhat unappealing.

The car is most definitely a 350. The last year for gold 350's was 1974 (maybe a few very early 75's were also gold). 75 and 76 engines were metallic blue, similar in color to the 455's. In 77 all engines were painted non metallic blue, called corporate blue. The lime metallic is a very striking and unique one year only "love it or hate it" color. Green is not my first choice for cars but I do really like this color.

Yup, by then all the motors were the corporate blue, no matter the displacement. What's striking about this car is the white seating areas/panels in contrast to the green carpet, dash, etc. I just acquired a 79 Hurst Olds that has the same scheme (white seats/panels, camel tan everything else) and I've really grown to like that look, instead of all one color. Very 70's I think.

I'm surprised someone hasn't made an offer. I wonder if it's the PNT code 40? I remember the 1971 code 43 which was also Lime Green. My neighbor had it on his 442 W30 4 spd. Same color combination you have - Lime body with white interior. Hope your buyer comes along soon.

Colorado cars usually are relatively devoid of rust, and most of the mechanical / electrical / soft rubber parts for these cars can be found from aftermarket vendors.
