Little expensive for the derby crowd. But a lot of that crowd likes destroying nice big cars just to keep people who appreciate them from getting them.

I'm more worried about somebody with a garden variety A-body raping it for its 455 and then sending the rest to the scrapyard. A few years ago somebody on here had found a gorgeous 1973 Royale Holiday Sedan in western Maryland and wanted to get it and stuff its 455 in a 73 350 Supreme, so he'd have a 1973 engine. Then junk the rest.

Royale in question could have placed high in AACA HPOF classes, it was that nice and unmolested.

I don't know what that Royale's eventual fate was. I hope it survived intact but I doubt it. I do remember the guy pricing it completely out of reason to anyone who wanted to save it.

I also remember thinking to myself that if he did the transplant I hoped the 455 spun a bearing the first time he started it.🙃

Put a set of SSIV on this Royale and go eat up a few hundred miles of asphalt in style and comfort.
