1967 Debonnet Deluxe Toronado

Hey Toro fans. I have a '67 debonnet car it is a deluxe with the plum ineterior. Everything works power seats Windows etc. It ran but knocked when I got it. I have since swapped a 70 455 into it and still have the 425 on a stand. The car can now be driven anywhere. It needs a front and rear windshield reseal and a new vinyl top. I restored the gas tank, sending unit and ran new fuel lines front to back exactly as factory which was a bitch! It has new timing chain and a complete re-seal of the engine. Mechanically super sound and fresh flowmaster exhaust. I'm thinking in the 4k range, an interest? I also just bought a NOS headlight control relay valve too $$$$$!

1967 Debonnet Deluxe Toronado

I bought this car off descendent of original owner. The original 425 locked up due to the chain coming apart and clogging the pick up. It now has a 70 455 all resealed with a a new chain and oil pump. I had the gas tank restored along with the sending unit. I replaced all fuel lines and routed properly through the frame. Runs and drives great. I also just bought a NOS headlight valve which was expensive to say the least. This car is a very solid very original car needing a front and rear windshield reseal and a new vinyl top. Anyway, I want to free up dough to get on the 84 Hurst so anyone interested let me know asking 4k obo

Although I've never owned a one, I'm a big fan of the first generation Toronados.
What is a "debonnet" Toronado?

It's the Toronado only red wine paint color.

I might be interested. I had a '66 Toro for a while and I'd like to get another. Just a few questions for you though. Do you have any pics of the interior you could share? If you have some than I'd like to see the condition of the seats and instrument panel. Also, can you tell if she's been repainted or original paint? Do the headlights pop up? With the engine swap, is the kick-down linkage connected to the carb and is the Switch Pitch working?

Thanks,
chris

I will get some pics of interior. The seats have a couplecouple repairs needed at the hard vinyl. The dash is not cracked at all and all gauges work. It is original paint. As for the switch pitch, I am waiting on a Bruce Roe conversion kit.

Very nice color. Especially when coupled with parchment interior.

1967 Toronado

Just an update, I still have the car because the shop it is at is taking a while. He is one of those we tend to wait on as he is worth it. You never **** off a good quadrajet guy when you find one. I will get the interior pics today hopefully. It does need the headliner stitched back up in the center.....

I never had the '67 Carb. You need to call Sparky's Carbs in Wisconsin he has the cores, can restore them, and has all the linkage to make the switch pitch work again.
