1967 442

Heavy duty cooling came with a shroud with the clutch fan.
Oil pans are block color, not chassis black.
No 1967 W-30 came with D heads.
No picture of cowl tag showing that the car is a 442 and in the right date range to be a W-30
Red fenders are too bright to be original (or they're truly beautiful)
I think that's a Chevy rear, not a P rear like the W-30s had.
Radiator top plate and oil tube are not chromed (Oil cap is) on W-30. Is the alternator bracket chromed too?
Battery setup looks off in the back.
No picture of transmission tag.
Column shifted race car?

Yeah, why not? If your AT is properly built and calibrated, you'll likely do better in DRIVE - or at a minimum you'll be more consistent. Keep in mind that if you ordered the optional automatic, you got a column shifter unless you also ordered the console.
