Gonna rain on your parade a little. That's a Cutlass, not a 442

Doesn't the 5VY on the data plate prove it's a 442?

This is what I found:
Column 5
V=Body & front fenders pierced for 442 option L69/L78
Y= Deluxe front & rear seat belts A-39

According to that it is a 442. Other than the drivers fender nothing else is 'pierced' for a 442. No body emblem holes. Could they have been filled in? Sure.
The trunk lid is from a Cutlass as is the hood. Tail lights are a Cutlass. Grill is a 442. 2 speed Jetaway trans. This is a Frankenstein 442 I guess

the tail lights are cutlass , like I said in description. the trunk lid is 442. The right front fender is cutlass, I know. I am aware of the hood spear. parts have been swaped out on this car I know. It is a 442, 442 on the dash, 442 grill, l the 5v in cowl. explain the posi rearend in the car. IT IS A 442, 100 POSITIVE ABOUT THAT

I assume the car is located in Louisiana and with a 318 area code is probably in north Louisiana. Giving a location helps.

66 442

If it is a true 442, among the other discussions, the car should have a boxed control arm/rear sway bar, and it should have two lines running to the fuel pump from the tank....one 3/8 supply line and one 1/4? return line
